The company's quick start has broken several recordsin the penetration of a market by a mobile operator. The rest of the 600,000total registered prospective buyers of O2 Jednotkas can activate their SIM carduntil 31 March 2007. "Compared with our competition, not only in Slovakia but also worldwide, I cansay that our launch has broken multiple records and exceeded even the mostoptimistic of expectations. In less than 6 months of having acquired thelicence, we have introduced the offer for O2 Jednotkas, which brought to us over600,000 registered pre-subscribers interested in our services. 12 days after thelaunch of commercial operation, already 110,000 customers have activated thisservice, while O2 Jednotkas still have another one and a half month to activatetheir SIM cards," said Alberto Pamias, the Chief Marketing Officer. "In a recordperiod of time, we have also introduced the O2 brand to the Slovak market, basedon the principles of openness, trust and transparency. The offer brought to O2 Jednotkas by the company comprises telephone calls forSKK 2 within their network for an unlimited time and SKK 8.50 per minute forcall into other networks, 24 hours every day in a week. The offer also includescalls to the Czech Republic at the same price that applies to calls into othernetworks in the Slovak Republic, i.e. only SKK 8.50. An SMS message costs SKK3.20 and an MMS message is billed at SKK 9. GPRS data services and CLICK andCLIR are activated free of charge. Data transfers are billed at SKK 29 per MB.All the prices are indicated including VAT. The distribution of SIM cards for O2 Jednotkas by mail already started inJanuary and continues throughout February. Every day, Telefonica O2 Slovakiadelivers and activates tens of thousands SIM cards. According to plans, thecompany will complete this demanding logistical process by the end of February.Those O2 Jednotkas that have registered and not yet ordered a SIM card can doso at www.sk.o2.com or by contacting the free phone line at 0800 02 02 02. To other customers, Telefonica O2 Slovakia offered unlimited calls with the O2Narovinu profile at SKK 8.50 per minute calling anyone, anywhere and anytime.This is a very attractive flat rate offer in the Slovak market. From 28February, prepaid customers will thus be able to make phone calls to allnetworks within the territory of Slovakia on any day and at any hour at the samerate. Similarly to O2 Jednotky, the costs of an SMS message will be 3, 20 SKK, an MMSmessage will be 9 SKK and data services GPRS will be 29 SKK per MB. Theactivation of GPRS and services CLIP and CLIR will be free of charge. Onecomponent of the offer is phone calls to the Czech Republic for the same chargeas phone calls in Slovakia - 8, 50 SKK per minute. A common denominator of alloffered services is a flat rate on any day and in any hour for phone calls toanyone. All prices include the VAT and are per minute of a phone call with aper-second charge. Moreover, with the first credit recharge until 31 March, each customer will geta double value of his credit. After the first recharge, the customers will makephone calls from 4, 25 SKK per minute and send text messages for 1, 60 SKK. Thevalue of the first recharge is arbitrary, the customers will get the doublecredit value also for recharging the 950 SKK voucher. The total value of theobtained credit can be as much as 1900 SKK. Recharging vouchers for Telefonica O2 Slovakia customers are already sold in abroad network of more than 2 thousand sales points all over Slovakia. Thecustomers can buy them for instance in COOP Jednota, BILLA, at gas stations OMV,Shell, Slovnaft and Jet, in selected newsstands, specialized stores with mobiletechnologies and other places.
