LONDON (Alliance News) - Zoopla Property Group PLC Thursday said it has had a "solid start" to the financial year, attracting record levels of visits to its websites in January, and said it plans to launch a number of new and innovative products later in the year.
Zoopla, which owns consumer brands focused around property including uSwitch and PrimeLocation, said it has performed well in terms of trading since the start of October, attracting an average of 47.0 million monthly visits to its websites and mobile apps.
In January, Zoopla said it attracted a "record audience" of 58.0 million visits to its sites and apps.
"The Comparison Services division has enjoyed strong switching volumes across each of the Energy, Communications and Financial Services verticals and January saw near record levels of energy switches following the announcement by some suppliers of price reductions," said the company.
The Property Services division continued to grow the amount of partners it works with. The division has seen the number of net partners rise by 261 since the start of October, taking the total number of partners at the end of January to 16,672.
In addition to that growth, Zoopla said it has now grown the number of UK agency partners for nine consecutive months after sourcing new partners in January, with the total amount of agency partners standing at 12,841 at the end of the month.
"During the period, the group made further progress of integrating its divisions and developing its products and Management look forward to the rollout of a number of new and innovative products during 2016," said the company.
Zoopla shares were down 0.2% to 222.10 pence per share on Thursday morning.
