Zoopla Invests In Four UK Property Industry Start-Ups

16th Feb 2016 07:50

LONDON (Alliance News) - Zoopla Property Group PLC Tuesday revealed it has invested in and formed strategic partnerships with four of the UK's "most-promising and innovative" property technology start-up firms.

Zoopla, which owns brands including uSwitch and Primelocation, said it has invested a combined total of GBP1.0 million in the four companies and established exclusive, long term partnerships with each of them.

Zoopla did not state how much has been invested in each company.

Zoopla has invested in PropertyDetective, a UK-based provider of property and neighbourhood research reports, to boost the access its customers and agents have to research data.

FixFlo, a online repair reporting platform, has also received investment from Zoopla as the company looks to offer tools to its agents to help them manage tenant maintenance issues more effectively.

Zoopla has also invested in Landbay, a peer-to-peer lender for property, to allow Zoopla users to invest in the UK residential property market from as little as GBP100, it said.

The last investment has been made into Trussle, an online mortgage adviser, which Zoopla said will allow its customers to find better mortgage deals.

"In addition to investing in each of these businesses to support and accelerate their growth, Zoopla has established exclusive, long term partnerships with each of them to further enhance the experience across its platform," said Zoopla.
