LONDON (Alliance News) - Zoltav Resources Inc, an oil and gas mining company with mines in Russia, said on Thursday it has appointed three former employees of Bashneft and TNK-BP to its technical team.
Yuri Krasnevsky has been made director for geology & field development; Andrei Zabolotnov is now deputy director for field development, and Vasily Fomichev has been appointed as deputy director for geology.
Krasnevsky is a former vice president for geology & field development at Bashneft and has more than 30 years' experience in Russian geological exploration and oil and gas production, Zoltav said.
Zabolotnov was head of the field development division at NK Novyi Potok. Fomichev is both a former head of the geology division for NK Novyi Potok and the former deputy director of the geologic exploration and licensing department for Bashneft.
"Zoltav's commitment to enhancing the value of its significant Bortovoy asset through exploration is evident in the appointments of these highly accomplished former Bashneft and TNK-BP technical executives, led by Yuri Krasnevsky, " said Chief Executive Eduard Sleyn.
"Their combined experience will be invaluable to Zoltav as we assess the resource potential of the deeper carbonian and devonian structures in the western fields of the licence; and develop any assets which we may acquire in the future. We welcome them to the team as we advance through this exciting new phase for the company."
Shares in Zoltav were down 1.8% at 19.15 pence per share on Thursday morning.
