LONDON (Alliance News) - Food producer Zambeef Products PLC said it has promoted Deputy Managing Director Walter Roodt to executive director in preparation for making him chief executive at the end of the year.
Roodt joined Zambeef in 2008 and is "reporting to and understudying" current CEO Francis Grogan, who will retire at the end of 2019.
"Walter's appointment as an executive director is in line with the group's well considered succession plan and is validation of his hard work and commitment to the group over the past 11 years. The board looks forward to working closely with Walter in his new role," said Zambeef Chair Jacob Mwanza.
Shares in Zambeef closed untraded at 10.75 pence on Friday.
