Zamano Approved As Direct Carrier Billing Partner For Three Ireland

17th Apr 2015 07:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Irish mobile payments and marketing company, Zamano PLC, Friday said it is now an approved direct carrier billing partner for Three Ireland.

It said the connection covers all of Three's customers including those obtained during the recent acquisition of O2. Three represents approximately 36% of the mobile market in Ireland according to latest figures, it said.

The company is in the process of developing the required platform infrastructure to allow merchants to sell goods directly by processing payments via direct carrier billing to Vodafone Ireland and Three customers.

It said it intends to connect to Meteor's "Transaction SMS" solution while it implements full carrier billing.

"Getting direct connections to mobile networks operators' carrier billing systems is a key objective for the group and becoming an approved direct carrier billing partner with Three Ireland has taken the group a step closer to this goal," Chief Executive Ross Conlon said in a statement.

Shares in Zamano opened up 9.9% at 9.34 pence each Friday morning.
