Young And Co's Brewery Buys Four London Pubs For GBP10.8 Million

17th Oct 2014 07:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - Young and Co's Brewery PLC Friday said it has bought the entire issued share capital of London pub operator 580 Ltd for GBP10.8 million.

Under the deal, Young and Co will buy four London pubs: The Defector's Weld in Shepherd's Bush, The John Salt in Islington, The Fellow in King's Cross and The Owl & Pussycat in Shoreditch.

The Defector's Weld and The John Salt will be managed as Young's pubs, while The Fellow and The Owl & Pussycat will fall under its Geronimo portfolio.

"We are delighted to be adding these excellent pubs to our managed house estate. All four are in vibrant locations where our premium proposition of craft beers, high-quality wines and cocktails, restaurant-quality fresh and innovative food, and above all a warm welcome in well-presented surroundings, will work extremely well," said Young and Co Chief Executive Stephen Goodyear.
