(Alliance News) - YouGov PLC on Tuesday said it completed a deal to acquire Faster Horses, the Australian online-focussed data insights consultancy.
YouGov is a London, England-based international market research and data analytics group.
YouGov did not disclose the value of the acquisition.
YouGov said the deal will cement its position in Australia and enable it to capitalise on panel investments in the region. Faster Horses currently has 20 employees across its offices in Sydney, Perth, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane.

We are committed to offering our clients a connected data proposition that provides a continuous stream of consumer insight data globally and through this acquisition we can better serve clients both within Australia and around the world," commented Chief Executive Stephan Shakespeare.
Faster Horses co-founder Veronica Mayne said "our current and prospective clients will benefit greatly from YouGov's quality proprietary panel both in Australia and across 59 markets globally."
Shares in YouGov were up 0.6% at 1,187.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
