LONDON (Alliance News) - Freight management firm Xpediator PLC said Monday it appointed Stuart Howard as its new finance head to replace its retiring chief financial officer, Richard Myson, at the start of September.
Howard - a chartered accountant - most recently worked as chief executive officer of alternative financial services firm Dollar UK between 2014 and 2017. Prior to this, he worked as chief operating officer of listed products at Harbourvest Partners from 2012. Howard joined Harbourvest from 3i Group PLC where he held a number of senior roles.
"I believe Xpediator is well placed to continue to significantly expand upon its position within the logistics sector, and I am therefore very pleased to be joining the company at this exciting time," Howard said in a statement."
In mid-May, Xpediator announced Myson - who has been at the firm for 14 years - will retire at the end of October for "personal reasons".
"I am delighted to welcome Stuart to the Xpediator board to take up a key management role at an exciting time for the group," Xpediator CEO Stephen Blyth said. "He is very highly regarded by former colleagues, and I am confident that, following an extensive search, he is the right appointment for the company and that he will make a significant contribution to the development of the group."
Shares in Xpediator were 0.9% higher at 78.69 pence on Monday.
