(Alliance News) - XP Factory PLC on Tuesday reported "strong and profitable growth" in financial 2025, as its revenue increased for the year.
XP Factory is a London-based experiential leisure business which operates the Escape Hunt and Boom Battle Bar brands.
For the year ended March 31, the company reported "record" revenue of GBP57.3 million, up 17% from GBP48.0 million in financial 2024. The like-for-like revenue growth rate was 2.5%.
Similarly, Boom Battle Bar revenue was about GBP41.9 million in financial 2025, up 12% from GBP37.5 the previous year.
However, the firm's Escape Hunt brand revenue was around GBP14.1 million, down 16% from GBP16.7 million in financial 2024.
The rise in revenue was driven by having an "exceptional festive period" during Christmas 2024. Both Escape Hunt and Boom continued to see solid growth in January and February 2025 according to the company.
Escape Hunt reported a 6.3% increase in like-for-like sales during the first eight weeks of the year, while Boom Battle Bar saw a 1.9% rise in the same period.
However, in line with broader industry trends, both brands experienced a dip in March. This was largely due to the timing of Easter, which fell later in April 2025, compared to March 2024.
Additionally, XP Factory said the unseasonably sunny weather in March contributed to negative LFLs for both businesses.
Chief Executive Richard Harpman said: "Whilst macro uncertainties remain and unseasonal weather has impacted our most recent trading, we are confident in our outlook.
"Our new sites continue to generate industry leading returns on capital and we are excited about the growth runway ahead of us as we progress in our strategy to double earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation to GBP13 million by financial 2028."
The company expects between GBP6.2 million and GBP6.4 million Ebitda at the upper end of market expectations, up from GBP5.1 million in financial 2024.
XP Factory shares rose 4.6% to 11.50 pence in London on Tuesday morning.
