LONDON (Alliance News) - Polymer bead cleaning system developer Xeros Technology Group PLC on Thursday said it signed up 61 new forward channel partners at its Clean Show 2015 event in Atlanta, part of its effort to build a sales and bead servicing network across the US.
The addition of the new partners will back Xeros' plans to commercialize its commercial laundry products in the North American market, the company said. The network will support installed Xeros machines, boost its Xeros Sbeadycare service and will extend its customer service capabilities.
"The material expansion of our Forward Channel Partner programme is an exciting and significant development for us. Our 61 new partners expand our sales and service capabilities substantially and will enable us to capitalise further on the growing interest in our commercial and environmental proposition across North America," said Xeros Chief Executive Bill Westwater.
The company has developed washing machines that use polymer beads in the washing process, which it claims reduces the need for cleaning powders and liquids as well as water and energy, while achieving good cleaning results. It has already installed machines in some US hotels as well as dry cleaners, fitness centres and with the US military. It is also developing machines that could be sold to the domestic market in the US.
A key facet of the company's business model is to create a network that not only sells the machines, but also services them and recycles the beads used in the process.
Xeros shares were up 7.4% to 237.88 pence on Thursday morning, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
