LONDON (Alliance News) - Xeros Technology Group PLC on Monday said it has hired Mark Nichols as its chief executive officer with immediate effect.
He takes over from Bill Westwater, who is stepping down after seven years at the helm and who will remain with the company for an undefined period to ensure a smooth transition.
Nichols is a former executive at gas company BOC Group and is the former chief executive of start-ups Encos Ltd, a carbon-negative building product technologies company, and CH4e, a renewable energy generation firm.
Xeros has developed washing machines that use polymer beads in the washing process, which it claims reduces the need for cleaning powders and liquids as well as water and energy, while achieving good cleaning results.
The company added that its results for the year to the end of July and its current trading are both in line with its expectations.
