Xaar Expects First Half Revenue Falls, But Sales Have Stabilised

8th Jul 2015 07:26

LONDON (Alliance News) - Digital inkjet printing technology company Xaar PLC on Wednesday said it expects its revenue to fall in the first half, despite ceramic tiles printing sales stabilising in the period.

Xaar said it expects revenue for the first half to the end of June to be GBP47 million, down from GBP60.4 million a year earlier but broadly in line with the GBP48.8 million it posted in the second half of 2014.

Revenue from Xaar's ceramic tile printing arm stabilised in the first six months, having been hit by a step down in demand in the second half of 2014.

Xaar now expects its revenue for the full year to be around GBP92-95 million, down from GBP109.2 million a year earlier.

Xaar shares were up 0.9% on Wednesday morning to 481.75 pence.
