WYG Gets New Contracts In Turkey And Poland Worth EUR12.6 Million

8th Aug 2016 06:29

LONDON (Alliance News) - WYG PLC on Monday said it has been awarded multiple new contracts in Poland and Turkey that are worth up to a combined EUR12.6 million.

The consultancy and project management firm said it has secured two contracts from the Polish government worth up to EUR6.6 million to assist with the government's initiative to help the unemployed, whilst further new contracts and one extension to an existing contract have been secured in Turkey worth up to another EUR6.0 million.

WYG said back in March that the Polish government was planning to spend EUR50.0 million annually through a programme to help the unemployed. WYG, at that time, secured its first contract under the programme by agreeing to support the Silesian labour office.

Under the new contracts unveiled on Monday, the initial 18-month contract is worth EUR2.0 million and, with potential extensions, the total value could rise up to EUR6.6 million.

In Turkey, WYG has been awarded three new technical assistance projects worth a combined EUR5.4 million and an extension worth EUR600,000 under its existing contract covering the water and wastewater project in Siverek.
