LONDON (Alliance News) - WYG PLC Monday said it has been awarded a three-year technical assistance contract from the European Investment Bank, on behalf of the Western Balkans Investment Framework.
The Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) - a European Commission initiative - supports socio-economic development and EU accession across the Western Balkans through the provision of finance and technical assistance for strategic investments.
WYG is a partner in a consortium led by Denmark-based consulting group COWI A/S, to provide technical assistance to the European Commission's Infrastructure Projects Facility (IPF). The aim of the IPF is to provide technical assistance to WBIF projects.
The company said the value of the contract to the consortium will be around EUR11.5 million of which WYG's share will be 40% or EUR4.6 million.
WYG shares were quoted up 0.1% at 105.00 pence Monday morning.
