LONDON (Alliance News) - Media buying giant WPP PLC Tuesday said brand, media and communications research division Millward Brown has bought Netherlands-based marketing strategy consultants EffectiveBrands Holding BV.
It didn't give any financial details of the transaction.
EffectiveBrands reported revenue of about EUR14.1 million in the year to end-March, according to WPP. Its clients in include Pernod Ricard, Virgin, Barclays, Unilever and PepsiCo. It's headquartered in Amsterdam and employs about 65 people in offices in London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo.
Millward Brown will combine EffectiveBrands with Millward Brown Optimor, its strategy consulting unit, to form Millward Brown Vermeer, WPP said.
WPP shares were up 0.5% at 1,302 pence Tuesday morning.
