LONDON (Alliance News) - WPP PLC Wednesday said its Kantar Media research and analytics business has acquired Spanish social media data analytics agency The Data Republic S.L.
No financial details were provided.
WPP said the deal will give it access to The Data Republic's proprietary platform and suite of products monitoring and analysing real-time data from multiple social networks. The technology includes "Tuitele", which collects, measures, analyses and creates visualisations of social media conversations around TV shows and TV advertising and provides TV networks, TV production companies, agencies and advertisers a service to increase the engagement of their TV shows and commercials.
WPP shares were flat at 1,248 pence Wednesday morning.
