WPP's JWT Buys Brazilian User Experience Agency Try

LONDON (Alliance News) - WPP PLC Thursday said its JWT unit has acquired a majority stake in Cairos Usabilidade Eireli, known at Try, in Brazil for an undisclosed amount.

Try is a user experience agency which designs and develops custom web, mobile, desktop and touch-enabled applications. It posted revenue of BRL2.5 million in 2013, and had gross assets of around BRL0.3 million at the end of that year, WPP said.

WPP said it currently generates revenue of USD650 million from its Brazilian operations, making it the advertising group's eighth largest market.

WPP shares opened down 0.2% at 1,282 pence on Thursday.
