LONDON (Alliance News) - WPP PLC said Monday that it has bought a majority stake in UK digital marketing agency Potato London Ltd, via its wholly-owned operating company AKQA.
Potato specialises in designing and building complex, secure and scalable web applications, WPP said, and has clients including Alphabet Inc and Canon Inc. It is headquartered in London, but also has an office in Bristol and a presence in San Francisco.
Potato had revenue of GBP6.9 million for the year to end-March 2015, and gross assets of GBP4.1 million as at the same date.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Shares in WPP were up 1.3% at 1,551.00 pence Monday morning.
