LONDON (Alliance News) - Media buying giant WPP PLC said Monday it has acquired a minority stake in Turkish digital agency WANDA Digital for an undiclosed sum, via its business J Walter Thompson Co.
WANDA produced net sales of USD3.4 million in 2014 and had gross assets of USD2.3 million as at the end of 2014. It has clients including Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS, L'Oreal SA, Nestle SA and Unilever PLC.
Following the acquisition WANDA and J Walter Thompson's local office will operate independently, but will joint invest in new technology and projects, WPP said.
Shares in WPP were trading down 0.5% at 1,479.00 pence Monday morning.
