LONDON (Alliance News) - Media buying giant WPP PLC Tuesday said Brand Union unit has acquired a 60% stake in Brazillian branding and identity firm Epigram.
Epigram posted revenues of BRL8.4 million for 2013, and had gross assets of around BRL1.5 million at the end of the year. It is based in São Paulo, and has clients including MasterCard Inc and Telefonica SA.
No financial details of the acquisition were disclosed.
The acquisition is the latest in a recent spate of buys in Brazil. Last week, WPP acquired majority stakes in search engine marketing agency Mídia 123 Serviços de Publicidade Via Internet Ltda, known as Blinks, and user experience agency Cairos Usabilidade Eireli, known as Try.
Shares in WPP were trading down 0.2% at 1,288.00 pence Tuesday morning.
