Workspace CEO Hopkins To Leave Office Provider For Personal Reasons

2nd Apr 2019 08:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Workspace Group PLC said Tuesday Chief Executive Officer Jamie Hopkins will leave the office space rental firm at the end of May, to be replaced on a temporary basis by the FTSE 250-listed firm's finance chief.

Hopkins - CEO since 2012 - will leave Workspace due to what the firm described as "extenuating personal circumstances." Chief Financial Officer Graham Clemett will replace Hopkins from the start of June until a permanent successor is appointed.

"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Jamie for his significant contribution as chief executive of Workspace over the last seven years," Workspace Chair Daniel Kitchen said. "The company has outperformed throughout his tenure and he leaves the business in fantastic shape, with a clear and proven strategy. We wish him all the best for the future."

"Workspace has a strong senior management team and the board is confident that the business will be in good hands while the search for a new chief executive is underway," Kitchen added. "We look forward to updating the market on performance and trading at the full year results in June."

Shares in Workspace were 0.1% lower at 980.50 pence on Tuesday.
