Workspace Buys Amnesty International Office For GBP16.6 Million

27th May 2015 06:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Workspace Group PLC on Wednesday said it has exchange contracts on the acquisition of the 25 and 28 Easton Street properties in the Clerkenwell neighbourhood of London for GBP16.6 million.

The property is a converted warehouse-style office with a net internal area of around 21,000 square feet. It is being acquired from existing owner and occupier Amnesty International, the human rights organisation, and will be reconfigured and let as a business centre following a short two-year leaseback to Amnesty at a rent of GBP10 per square foot.

"I am delighted to announce the purchase of 25 & 28 Easton Street which further bolsters our presence in Clerkenwell, an area we know very well and soon to benefit from the opening of the Cross Rail Station in Farringdon," said Workspace Chief Executive Jamie Hopkins.
