Wood Group Promotes MacDonald To Chief Executive Of Kenny Division

2nd Mar 2015 11:44

LONDON (Alliance News) - John Wood Group PLC Monday said it has promoted Bob MacDonald to become the new chief executive officer of Wood Group Kenny and promoted Steve Wayman as the group's new head of strategy and development.

MacDonald will take up his role on April 6, and moves from his position as Wood Group Kenny's regional director for the UK North Sea.

Wood Group Kenny is one of the company's divisions that provides engineering design, project management, operations support and operations integrity assessments covering offshore engineering, subsea, pipeline and riser design, materials engineering and renewable energy developments.

MacDonald succeeds Steve Wayman, who is moving to become Wood Group's head of strategy and development, it said.

Wayman is replacing Ali Green, who will step down from his current role but will continue to provide support to the team as he transitions out of the business in 2015, said Wood Group.

"As Chief Executive, MacDonald will lead the Wood Group Kenny executive team in the growth and governance of the business. He will take his place on the Wood Group Executive Committee, reporting to Robin Watson who will take up his new position of chief operating officer of Wood Group in April," said the company.

"My focus will be on expanding our activities, continuing the high level of service delivery and supporting our customers through sustainable efficiencies in what is currently a highly competitive market," said MacDonald.

MacDonald and Wayman's movement into other roles in the company follows on from Wood Group's decision to promote Dave Stewart to be the new chief executive of Wood Group PSN, while also promoting Michele McNichol as chief executive of Wood Group Mustang last Wednesday.

Wood Group shares were down 0.6% to 662.00 pence per share on Monday morning.
