Wolf Minerals To Complete Construction Of Hemerdon In First Quarter 2015

LONDON (Alliance News) - Wolf Minerals Ltd said Wednesday that construction of its Hemerdon tungsten and tin project in Devon is expected to finish in the first quarter of 2015.

The company's contractor GR Engineering Services Ltd began construction in February, and Wolf Minerals said that the initial phase, site preparation, is now almost complete.

It expects the site to be totally cleared of old plant infrastructure by early June. It has begun a tree-planting programme at the site, with over 40,000 trees planted. It also looking to complete construction of a mine access road and mine haul road.

Wolf Minerals expects to begin construction of the project's waste facility "in the near future."

In April the company said it expected the project to begin production in 2014, and forecast annual tungsten production at the facility of 3,500 tonnes.

Shares in Wolf Minerals were trading up 0.3% at 15.54 pence Wednesday morning.
