LONDON (Alliance News) - Wolf Minerals Ltd on Tuesday said it has received temporary approval from Devon County Council to start seven-day working at the Drakelands open pit mine at its Hemerdon tungsten and tin project.
The approval will mean Wolf is allowed to the use the primary crusher at the site seven days a week, 24 hours a day under a six-month trial. Wolf will need to show it can operate the crusher within, and comply with, required noise limits for the approval to be extended.
"This is welcome news. Commissioning is always challenging and it will be considerably easier if we don't need to schedule downtime every weekend for a day and a half. The processing plant will run far more efficiently working steady state and we can schedule maintenance periods when we need them rather than when the plant has been turned off as part of a planning permission requirement," said Wolf Managing Director Russell Clark.
Shares in Wolf were up 6.9% to 20.85 pence on Tuesday, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
