LONDON (Alliance News) - Wizz Air Holdings PLC on Monday said it is planning to launch a cadet pilot programme in September after signing a five-year deal with two flight training organisations.
The central and eastern European-focused budget carrier said the courses will start in September and will initially involve up to 40 cadets per year.
The training will be provided by CTC Aviation and the Central European Flight Academy, Wizz said.
"Our people are at the heart of Wizz Air and we're delighted to offer this opportunity to a whole new generation of airline pilots. They'll become part of the Wizz Air family and will enjoy an amazing opportunity to be employed directly as a co-pilot on our fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft with a career potential to become a Captain and beyond into management," said Wizz Air's head of flight operations and chief pilot, David Morgan.
Shares in Wizz Air were down 0.8% to 1,420.00 pence on Monday morning.
