LONDON (Alliance News) - Central and Eastern Europe-focused budget carrier Wizz Air Holdings PLC on Tuesday said it carried more passengers and improved its load factor year-on-year in January.
The FTSE 250-listed company said it carried 1.5 million passengers in the month, up 21% from the 1.3 million it carried a year earlier, as its capacity increased 18% thanks to new routes starting up in Romania, Poland, Bulgaria and Hungary.
Wizz said its load factor for the month improved to 83.5%, up 1.9 percentage points from the 81.6% it reported a year earlier.
