LONDON (Alliance News) - Wizz Air Holdings PLC Monday said it has launched a new fare category, 'Plus Fare', which provides passengers with "greater flexibility" by including more benefits and travel options in the price of a ticket.
The Central and Eastern Europe airline said 'Plus Fare' is an additional option to its 'Basic Fare' and includes 32 kilograms of checked-in baggage, a large cabin bag, airport check-in, WIZZ Flex for travel date changes, seat selection and priority boarding services.
Wizz Air said the new fare offers customers a discounted package price over the 'Basic Fare', which includes the flight ticket only and charges extra for ancillary services such as checking in baggage and selecting seats.
Sales of WIZZ Premium and Premium Plus products have been discounted in order to streamline the new offering.
The 'Plus Fare' which is already available on wizzair.com will be available on mobile applications in the coming months, Wizz Air said.
"I am pleased to announce our new 'Plus Fare' as WIZZ continues to constantly improve the travel experience for its customers, providing them with more options and flexibilty to ensure they have a pleasant journey from beginning to end. We have seen a demand for additional services from our customers and we are happy to provide them with this all-in-one discounted package," Chief Commercial Officer György Abrán said in a statement.
