(Alliance News) - Wind sensors developer Windar Photonics on Tuesday said it has received an order for the supply of 100 of its WindVision systems.
The WindVision system is an advanced version of Windar's WindEye system, which is an instrument used to detect and collect information, such as wind inflow, from independent turbines. The devices are able to calculate exact wind speed and wind direction.
The 100 WindVision systems ordered will be installed on CNR wind turbines in China with installation and integration expected to be completed in 2020.
"I am very pleased to have secured this first larger OEM order for our WindVision systems. Of equal importance, every CNR turbine will be deployed with our systems and integrated in the wind turbines to enhance their performance," commented Windar General Manager Martin Rambusch.
Windar Photonics shares were flat at 30.00 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
