LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed bookmaker William Hill PLC on Monday said it has appointed Philip Bowcock as its new chief financial officer, effective from November 1.
He will replace Neil Cooper, who will leave the company on November 6.
Bowcock is the former chief financial officer of cinema operator Cineworld PLC, having resigned in June, and has held senior financial roles with housebuilder Barratt Developments PLC and retailer Tesco PLC in the past.
"We are delighted to welcome Philip, whose extensive experience will be valuable as we continue to diversify and grow the business. Philip has played a lead role in strategic and financial changes at his previous companies and will bring both a strong strategic insight and rigorous financial acumen," said William Hill Chief Executive James Henderson.
Shares in William Hill were down 2.1% to 358.9 pence on Monday.
