WideCells Partners With University Of Westminster On Stem Cells Course

27th Sep 2016 09:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - WideCells Group PLC on Tuesday said its WideAcademy research and development and training unit has partnered with the University of Westminster to provide online courses in stem cell technology.

WideAcademy has finalised a syllabus of short courses focused on educating healthcare professionals on stem cell storage and treatment. WideAcademy also is developing a conference and expects this to be held in Brazil in 2017, with further details to follow.

"Our stated strategy is to make stem cell treatment affordable and accessible for families worldwide and in turn to fuel innovation and investment into the stem cell industry; we believe that the launch of these short courses will achieve both these goals while also providing the added commercial benefit of increasing uptake of our storage and healthcare services," said Joao Andrade, the company's chief executive.

Shares in WideCells, which collects and stores stem cells and provides insurance for stem cell treatment, were up 5.3% at 16.05 pence on Tuesday.
