LONDON (Alliance News) - Westside Investments PLC Thursday said its Ultimate Player Ltd subsidiary has now launched its new child friendly, football- focussed information website, marking its first move into the online market.
The AIM-listed investment vehicle said the first phase of Ultimate Player's new website, www.ultimateplayer.me, has been launched to coincide with the start of the football World Cup in Brazil. It compiles data relating to fixtures, results, league tables, player performance and latest news for the 2014 World Cup and English Premier League, and there are additional statistics for other sports including tennis, rugby, golf and cricket.
It is targeting the launch of a second phase of the site in the fourth quarter of 2014, introducing an interactive platform for children aged between 4-17, which will track users' personal sporting performance with targeted goal structure to improve fitness and skill set.
Westside had raised GBP364,000 in a placing in December to fund the development of what it then described as a social network. That followed its acquisition of Football Data Services Ltd last November.
Westside Investments shares were down 17.4% at 0.2478 pence Thursday.
