LONDON (Alliance News) - Westminster Group PLC on Monday said its managed services arm has signed a memorandum of understanding with an unnamed government-owned airport authority in Asia for the long-term provision of airport security in the country.
Westminster did not provide any financial details on the deal, which has been secured via its Westminster Aviation Security Services subsidiary.
Westminster said it would deploy a team of aviation security experts to survey the airports concerned, in order to produce a gap analysis and project plan which will form the basis for contract negotiations.
"We have been in discussions with the government concerned for some time and the signing of this MoU is a significant step forward. I am pleased that the authority has chosen to now enter into formal contract negotiations with Westminster, which is a clear indication of Westminster's global reach and reputation and which enhances our potential opportunities in Asia," said Westminster Chief Executive Peter Fowler.
