Westminster Group Wins USD750,000 Worth Of Technology Contracts

11th Feb 2015 09:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Security company Westminster Group PLC on Wednesday said it has won a series of contracts through its technology division worth around USD750,000.

The technology arm has won six contracts in total, covering protection equipment for a nuclear facility in North America, advanced screening in West Africa, security services for a North African postal service, a museum in Egypt, a prison in the UK and a South African police service.

It did not name any of the clients which have awarded the contracts.

"The strong start to 2015 in the Technology Division mirrors the excellent performance of the Managed Services Division which has just announced its Memorandum of Understanding with an Asian government for airport security services and, prior to Christmas, its 21 year Ferry contract," said Westminster Chief Executive Peter Fowler.

Westminster on Monday had said its managed services arm has signed a memorandum of understanding with an unnamed government-owned airport authority in Asia for the long-term provision of airport security in the country.

Westminster shares were trading flat at 25.00 pence on Wednesday.
