Westminster Expects First Half Revenue Lower Due To Ebola Effects

30th Jun 2015 08:00

LONDON (Alliance News) - Security services company Westminster Group PLC on Tuesday said it expects first-half revenue to be slightly weaker year-on-year due to the impact the Ebola crisis in West Africa has had on its business.

Westminster said it expects technology division revenue in the first half to be slightly ahead year-on-year, but said managed services revenue will be weaker due to the impact of the Ebola epidemic.

The company said it will start commercial operations of its ferry service in the second half and is seeking to win a further managed-services contract with an airport. It also will target new contracts in the Americas and will focus on boosting the order book of its technology arm.

Westminster shares were down 9.3% to 21.55 pence in early trade Tuesday, one of the worst performers in the AIM All-Share.
