LONDON (Alliance News) - West African Minerals Corporation said Wednesday it has restructured its board of directors, with changes including the appointment of a new Chairman.
The company said Bradford Mills has been appointed Executive Chairman with immediate effect. West African Minerals said Mills has extensive mining experience; he takes on the role as the firm builds on its recent exploration success, it said.
Jim Mellon will remain on the board as a non-executive Director, said the company, while Denham Eke will leave the board but will remain as Chief Financial Officer.
Mellon and Eke have accordingly relinquished their recent share option awards. Anton Mauve remains Managing Director and Gerard Holden remains a non-executive Director, said West African Minerals.
Shares in the company were quoted 6.625 pence per share Wednesday, untraded.
