LONDON (Alliance News) - Africa-focused oil and gas firm Wentworth Resources PLC said Tuesday it has received USD6.0 million for gas sales from its Tanzania concession.
Wentworth received the funds in April for the gas sales generated from the Mnazi Bay Concession. The payments represents full payment of two months of production.
The company recorded a gross production from Mnazi of 77 million standard cubic feet per day in April. This "further de-risks" 2018 gross production guidance of between 65 and 75 million standard cubic feet per day, Wentworth said.
The AIM-listed firm also confirmed Chief Executive Officer-Designate Eskil Jersing will join the company from June 25. His appointment was announced in January and former boss Geoff Bury stood down on Monday. Executive Chairman Bob McKean will undertake CEO responsibilities until Jersing arrives.
Shares in Wentworth were trading 2.7% higher at 26.70 pence on Tuesday.
