Webis Says Betting Unit Has Extended Hong Kong Jockey Club Pools Access

15th Sep 2014 08:39

LONDON (Alliance News) - Webis Holdings PLC Monday said its WatchandWager.com LLC subsidiary has signed a further two year agreement with the Hong Kong Jockey Club to provide access to the HKJC pari-mutuel pools.

WatchandWager was the first US based wagering operator to link directly into the HKJC pools during the 2013/14 racing season, according to Webis.

"The operation proved to be a success both technically and commercially for both parties and this new two year contract for HKJC racing seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 is testament to that," it said.

The 2014/15 HKJC racing season started on Sunday September 14 and will run through to July 12, 2015. WatchandWager will access the HKJC betting pools via its Tote provider, AmTote International, based in Maryland, US. Access initially will be to selected account holders, but wil soon be opened up to all US clients via its website watchandwager.com and mobile product.

"We are proud for the HKJC to award WatchandWager a contract for the next two racing seasons. Racing in Hong Kong offers integrity, consistent field sizes and the huge pool liquidity that many of our customers are seeking," WatchandWager.com President Ed Comins said in a statement.

Webis Holdings shares last traded at 2.62 pence in London.
