LONDON (Alliance News) - Weatherly International PLC on Thursday said its production increased in the second quarter of its financial year, continuing its steady growth.
Weatherly said its total ore and waste mined copper cathode production hit 6,489 tonnes in the second quarter to the end of December, up from 6,282 in the first quarter.
The company said the boost was driven by the first quarter of commercial production at the Tschudi mine in Namibia.
"Last year was one of significant operational progress for Weatherly, and we are very pleased to continue our track record of meeting or beating guidance at Tschudi, with the operation proceeding well and in line with our plans," said Chief Executive Craig Thomas.
Weatherly shares were flat at 0.275 pence on Thursday.
