LONDON (Alliance News) - Weatherly International PLC Monday said it produced 75,281 tonnes of ore that produced 5,330 tonnes of copper concentrate with 1,311 tonnes of copper metal from its central operations in its fiscal second quarter.
In a trading update, the miner said it had produced 542 tonnes of copper concentrate in December, its third-highest production month ever.
"To achieve this during the Christmas break demonstrates that we are moving in the right direction. Most importantly we now have access to the new Hoffnung Fault West area where we mined our first copper during the month," Chief Executive Rod Webster said.
Cash costs for the quarter to end-December were USD6,375, or USD2.88 per pound.
