(Alliance News) - Watkin Jones PLC on Tuesday launched 'Venti House', a new student accommodation development in Stratford, east London, designed to meet growing demand for high-quality student housing in the capital.
The student accommodation developer and manager said the 397-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme, previously known as Grove Crescent, is scheduled to open for the 2026/27 academic year. It is being delivered through a joint venture between Watkin Jones and HGP.
The development offers strong transport links via the Elizabeth Line and proximity to institutions including UCL East, London College of Fashion, Birkbeck, and the University of East London. It combines high-spec studios and cluster flats with shared amenity spaces focused on study, wellbeing and community.
Designed by Fresh, the branding draws on a fusion of Victorian, industrial, oriental, and contemporary influences. Watkin Jones said the aesthetic aims to create "a culturally rich and welcoming home" for domestic and international students.
"Venti House reflects our commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed, experience-led purpose-built student accommodation in key UK markets," said George Dyer, group investment director. "We're excited to see Venti House launch next year and offer a great home for students studying in Stratford."
Shares in Watkin Jones were up 2.4% at 27.45 pence in London on Tuesday afternoon.
