LONDON (Alliance News) - Engineering and environmental consultancy Waterman Group PLC on Wednesday said it has increased its stake in its Australian businesses based in Melbourne and Sydney.
Waterman has acquired a further 20% stake in Waterman International (Asia) Pty Ltd for AUD1.6 million from John North, a retiring operational director.
The acquisition gives it a 100% stake in the Waterman business in Sydney and a 51% stake in the Melbourne business. The remainder of the Melbourne business is held by operational directors in the office.
"We are looking to further expand our operations in Australia and the range of services the group offers its clients," said Waterman Chief Executive Nick Taylor.
Shares in Waterman were untraded Wednesday, having last traded at 68.00 pence.
