(Alliance News) - Watches of Switzerland Group PLC on Thursday said it has hired William Floydd as its new chief financial officer, joining from Grosvenor Casinos owner Rank Group PLC.
Rank expects Floydd to depart at the end of the year, while the luxury watches company said his start date "will be announced in due course".
At Watches of Switzerland, Floydd replaces Anders Romberg, who will depart after seven years in the post after a handover period.
Floydd has been CFO at Rank since November 2018 and prior to that, was finance chief at Experian PLC's UK & Ireland arm.
Rank Chief Executive John O'Reilly said: "Bill has been an excellent CFO since joining Rank shortly after I joined in 2018 and I will be sad to see him go. He has helped secure the group's liquidity and future through the pandemic and will leave Rank in excellent financial shape. I wish Bill all the very best with his next venture and look forward to securing his replacement over the coming months."
Rank said it will kick off the search for Floydd's successor shortly.
Watches of Switzerland shares were 0.8% lower at 1,006.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning. Rank was down 1.6% at 177.20p.
