LONDON (Alliance News) - WANdisco PLC said Friday that it had signed an original equipment manufacturer agreement with Miaozhen Systems in China.
Under the deal, Miaozhen will include WANdisco's Non-Stop NameNode technology as part of its core Hadoop infrastructure and offering. The advertising technology company will deploy WANdisco's technology to its customer's data centres to provide continuous data availability for their Hadoop clusters.
Hadoop is an open-source software framework, which works by dividing applications into smaller fragments of work which can be executed on any node in a cluster, thus the framework is able to automatically handle failures and provide continuous performance.
WANdisco is a software company, its shares were trading up 2.00 pence to 1,140.00 pence Friday morning.
