WANdisco Sees Strong Start To 2014 As First Quarter Bookings Up

LONDON (Alliance News) - WANdisco PLC Thursday said it had seen a good start to 2014 as subscription bookings rose 40% in its first quarter, including new contributions from its big data products.

Subscription bookings rose to to USD4.2 million from USD3.0 million. This included a rise in bookings to USD4.0 million from USD3.0 million for its main Application Life-Cycle Management products, as the company added new clients including ARM Holdings PLC, MSCI Inc and Panasonic Corporation amongst others. It also saw renewals from existing customers including Hewlett-Packard Company and Wal-mart Sores Inc.

Additionally, it saw big data bookings of USD200,000 from contracts with British Gas PLC and University of California Health.

WANdisco said it had continued to deepen its partnerships with Cloudera and Hortonworks during the quarter, working with them to evaluate potential customers for its big data products which it expects will be converted to deployments during the year.

Shares in WANdisco were trading up 2.5% at 947.50 pence Thursday morning.
