(Alliance News) - WANdisco PLC on Friday said it has signed a contact with "one of the world's largest airlines" to migrate analytical data to the Microsoft Azure cloud.
The data-management software company said the "major" US airline will use its LiveData Migrator to migrate business critical analytical data from on-premise to the cloud.
WANdisco's LiveData platform was launched on Monday and helps businesses move large volumes of data while ensuring the consistency of said data, keeping it available and accurate from any location at anytime.
"With the backdrop of Covid-19, businesses are not able to scale up or down the fixed costs of running on premise facilities in line with economic activity. Cloud is the answer to this problem and our Microsoft Azure LiveData Platform is the enabler for this migration. This global airline typifies our blue-chip client base that have exponentially expanding data requirements but have been stuck with non-scalable on-premise capabilities until now," said WANdisco Chief Executive & Chair David Richards.
The stock was trading 2.3% higher at 798.20 pence each on Friday afternoon in London.
