LONDON (Alliance News) - WANdisco PLC said Thursday that its revenue rose 7% in the second quarter of 2015, as revenue from its Big Data products offset lower sales from its Application Lifecycle Management segment.
Revenue rose 7% to USD2.7 million from USD2.5 million in the quarter, whilst sales bookings fell to USD2.4 million from USD3.4 million.
Application Lifecycle Management revenue fell to USD2.2 million from UDS2.5 million. It secured USD1.4 million in sales bookings during the quarter for its ALM products, down from USD3.3 million a year before, which the company attributed to sales to new customers taking time to regain momentum after steps it has taken to sharpen its focus in this market and increase the productivity of its sales operations.
Revenue from Big Data products rose to USD500,000 from USD100,000 a year before. Sales bookings were USD1.0 million, compared to USD100,000 a year before. WANdisco added eight new Big Data customers during the quarter, and it said all were large corporations from across all of its regions.
"Our penetration of the Big Data market took a big step forward this quarter with a record eight contract wins and our first WANdisco Fusion customers starting to go into live production," said Chief Executive Officer David Richards in a statement.
Shares in WANdisco are trading up 2.3% at 201.00 pence Thursday morning.
