LONDON (Alliance News) - Software company WANdisco PLC said IBM released WANdisco's Fusion product last Thursday after the two companies earlier had signed a non-exclusive original equipment manufacturer sales agreement.
WANdisco signed the agreement with the US computing giant in April, under which IBM is selling WANdisco's Fusion data replication product under the rebranded name of Big Replicate 2.0.
"The announcement of the general release for the rebranded Fusion product by IBM marks the start of an exciting opportunity for WANdisco. IBM is one of the global leaders in big data and cloud services, and utilises a strong sales team which potentially creates a material new route to market for WANdisco," Chief Executive David Richards said in a statement.
Shares in WANdisco were trading down 5.3% at 135.00 pence on Monday morning.
