LONDON (Alliance News) - Interior furnishings company Walker Greenbank PLC on Wednesday said it expects a rise in sales for the year to the end of January and said its adjusted pretax profit should meet market expectations.
The company, which owns the Sanderson, Morris & Co, Harlequin, Zoffany, Scion and Anthology brands, said sales for the financial year are set to rise to GBP88.2 million, up 5.8% year-on-year.
Sales in the UK, US and Western Europe all were robust, though the weak euro meant that, while constant currency sales in Europe rose 11%, reported sales for the region were flat.
Walker Greenbank added that it is working closely with its insurer in connection with the flooding which occurred at its Standfast & Barracks unit in December, amid widespread flooding in the north of England. It expects to receive an initial payment in respect to the loss of profit and damage to assets soon.
The company will publish its final results on April 13.
